ebookers met the famous chef René Schudel in Ibiza, where he has been running the Green restaurant since June 2021, located directly on the port of Botafoch. This one knows better than anyone where and how to make the most of Ibiza, and not just from a culinary point of view.

The Ibiza nightlife is legendary, not without reason. Partygoers shouldn't miss an evening in one of the island's trendy clubs for anything in the world. The choice is almost endless, as the island is full of nightclubs hosted by famous DJs. The Amnesia club, to name just one, is one of the biggest nightclubs in the world and lives up to its reputation: it has already been voted “best club in the world” several times.

Ibiza has an ideal size that allows everyone to explore the island on their own. A rental car trip is a must. In just a few hours, it is possible to circumnavigate the island and its 210 km of coastline. A hook through the North of the island, particularly picturesque, is required. In addition to dream beaches, spectacular cliffs and wild nature, it is also home to charming villages, such as the small town of Sant Joan de Labritja. The peaceful north of the island will particularly appeal to nature lovers.

René Schudel also advises visitors to Ibiza to day trip to the neighboring island of Formentera. This enchanting little island is located 19 km south of Ibiza and seduces with its heavenly beaches, laid-back hippie atmosphere and unspoiled nature. The play of colors of the sea, which declines the most beautiful shades of blue and turquoise, inevitably draws the eye to this little sister of Ibiza and has even earned it its nickname, Formentera being called the "little Caribbean".

But Ibiza has no shortage of seaside assets either: from its picturesque secluded coves to its lively sandy beaches, there is something for everyone. René Schudel revealed to us his 3 favorite beaches:

Cala Bonita Beach (Platja S’Estanyol)

The small beach of S'Eastanyol is near the villages of Jesús and Talamanca, about 9 km northeast of Ibiza Town. The water in the small cove is crystal clear and ideal for snorkeling. The beach is accessible by car. However, the access road being quite bumpy, the cove is not crowded.

Our favorite hotel: Hotel Can Jaume by Ocean Drive

This charming four-star family hotel is located in a quiet area and offers impeccable service and extraordinary breakfasts. The hotel is surrounded by fields of orange trees. The rooms are furnished in a modern and pleasant way. A beautiful swimming pool allows you to cool off on hot summer days.

Cala Conta Beach (Cala Comte)

Cala Conta beach (Cala Comte) is located in the southwest of the island. The view from the beach on the small islands S'Espartar Illa des Bosc and Sa Conillera, located upstream and bathed in turquoise waters, is simply idyllic. It is the ideal place to contemplate sumptuous sunsets. The beach is accessible in summer by bus or by ferry via the San Antoni-Cala Conta connection.

Our favorite hotel: 7 Pines Resort

The five-star 7 Pines Resort, a relaxed haven of luxury on the west coast of Ibiza, is located just a few kilometers from Cala Conta beach. This hotel, which belongs to the Hyatt group, is nestled in the heart of a pine forest located on the cliffs, between Cala Conta and Cala Codolar, and offers, in addition to magnificent views, healthy cuisine, a spa, a yoga area and swimming pools With view on the sea.

Formentera beaches

The small island of Formentera is full of Caribbean-like beaches. This dream island can be reached in just half an hour by ferry from Ibiza. Long sandy beaches with wild nature, decorated with dunes and pine forests, are ideal for holidays with children: they are usually wide and gently sloping.

Our favorite hotel: Five Flowers Hotel & Spa Formentera

The Five Flowers Hotel & Spa Formentera is the first and, to date, the only five-star hotel in Formentera. Inspired by the hippy lifestyle of the island, this hotel combines luxury and an ideal location, being located in the immediate vicinity of Es Pujols beach and only a few meters from the tourist center of the island.
