Gay & Lesbian Menorca

Menorca is home to the Balearics biosphere reserve and is actually protected from further development. This makes peaceful days spent on more secluded beaches top of the holiday list. Therefore, Menorca is much more reserved and conservative than the other Balearic Islands.

There are a few gay bars and clubs around the island like in the resort of Son Bou, along the southern coast of the island, there is a gay bar called the Arco Son Bou. Furthermore, in the capital Mahon, known as Mao, the Ben Amics gay Group can be found. However, this is not the place for the tacky stretch of gay bars and clubs that is so prominent in neighbouring islands like Ibiza and Mallorca.
