Car hire in Majorca
Car hire is essential while holidaying in Majorca if you are serious about wanting to fully explore the island. There are good bus services that run between the better known resorts, but services inland and to other out of the way coastal destinations can be infrequent, making car hire in Majorca the best option.
Palma Airport is the most obvious place to hire a car and many well established international car hire companies have offices here. Local car hire firms can also deliver cars to the airport to meet you. Always check the rental agreement for any excesses and kilometre limitations before you book your car hire in Majorca.
Car hire in Majorca is best booked before you arrive, especially during the high season. Fly/drive packages are not as common in Europe as they are in the USA, so booking a car separately requires a little more effort. However, booking your car online in advance is straightforward and it is easy to compare prices, with quotes and confirmations available in minutes.
The major resorts of Magaluf, Palma Nova and Alcudia all have car hire firms, as does the capital, Palma de Majorca. If you are having no luck in locating a car, the hotel you are staying at should be able to arrange one for you.
