Restaurants in Majorca

Restaurants in Majorca are plentiful, with over one thousand eateries offering dishes to suit all palates, from the freshest catch of the day to traditional Spanish offerings of hearty chicken, pork, lamb and vegetable delights. Olive oil and garlic feature heavily in local dishes, particularly roast piglet, which is a speciality.

Palma is known for its restaurants in the Paseo Marítimo and Casco Antiguo parts of town, while Deia is widely regarded for its fine dining experience. Set high up in the spectacular Sierra de Tramuntana Mountains, Deia has a number of places where you can enjoy a delicious meal with fantastic sea views. The nearby historic town of Valldemossa, Majorca’s highest town, boasts one of the best restaurants on the island, located at the beautiful Valldemossa Hotel.

With many resorts having been founded on the fishing trade and some still retaining small harbours, seafood lovers will find an abundance of fish restaurants in most resorts around the island. The greatest profusion of fishing calas are located on the east coast, where you can dine at harbourside fish restaurants while watching the sun slip over the horizon.
