Cala Millor

Modern Cala Millor is a premier resort on Majorca’s east coast known for its long, sweeping bay and is situated along a gorgeous coastline scattered with numerous pretty calas (bays). Cala Millor is an exciting destination away from the frenetic pace of the primary Majorcan resorts and mainly appeals to families and couples looking for a leisurely atmosphere and good facilities.

Cala Millor occupies a long, wide bay with crystal clear waters and sloping sands that offer perfect bathing conditions for all the family. There are excellent beach facilities catering for all ages and plenty of water sport activities available, as well as numerous cafés and restaurants along the promenade that backs the beach. The promenade is a hive of activity both day and night, and it extends the full length of the beach and into nearby, laid back Cala Bona.

Other attractions include the 1930s Hotel Eureka, Cala Millor’s first hotel; the Nemo Submarine, which offers shipwreck and sea life tours; Badia Express mini train, which runs between Cala Bona and Sa Coma; and Sa Coma’s excellent safari park. Walks along the promenade to Cala Bona and the headland offer unrivalled views of the bay.

Farther afield, the nearby towns of Son Servera, Artà and Manacor host enticing markets throughout the week; Manacor is also widely known for its pearls, while the impressive Cuevas del Drac (Dragon Caves) near Porto Cristo provide an alternative to the beach.

For leisure, Cala Millor offers popular water sports, including windsurfing and the nearby Aquacity and Aquapark leisure parks. The nightlife in Cala Millor is considered to be tame and there is a good selection of shops, bars and restaurants.
