Majorca for the family
Majorca is a family friendly island with numerous resorts scattered around the coastline catering mainly for families. The majority of beaches are safe for children to swim at and a flag system at major resorts provides warning to visitors if the water is unsafe for toddlers due to currents, steep sands and so on.
There are excellent facilities for toddlers, with a range of activities on offer at the larger resorts, such as water parks with slides and games, crazy golf courses and outstanding hotel facilities with entertainment geared to the whole family’s enjoyment. Many of Majorca’s established hotels also have children’s swimming pools and babysitting services.
Various other activities are available for the family in Majorca , from horseback riding to sailing and surf lessons. Children who are 10 years old or above can even scuba dive in Majorca.
The main Majorca family resorts are those of Palma Nova in the southwest, Alcudia and Puerto Pollenca in the north and the east coast calas of Cala Millor and Sa Coma.
