Talamanca

Located between Ibiza Town and the resort of Playa de S’Estanyol, Talamanca is a popular destination among visitors who are looking for a piece of the town’s action, but want the convenience of staying directly on the beach.

Visitors to Talamanca are primarily attracted by its impressive, clean, white-sanded beach. It’s not necessarily the most attractive beach on the island but its curved length of 900 metres makes it ideal for walks and beach sports.

The waters here are shallow and clean, although things can get a little murky in the summer months. The bay is ideal for water sports, which feature heavily along the beach and include sailing, surfing, pedalos and windsurfing. The crowds are mixed, ranging from locals to families and fun seeking youngsters on holiday, while the atmosphere is easy-going.

Facilities along the beach are excellent and those who just want to relax and work on a perfect tan can do so in comfort and style. There is not much in the way of natural shade, so it is necessary to hire a sunshade and sun bed if you want to stay content all day.

The beach and nearby areas are teeming with restaurants and bars offering delicious seafood, international cuisine, and Spanish dishes. There is an amazing view of Ibiza Town, particularly at night when the castle is illuminated and you can see its medieval silhouette across the bay. The resort is not known for its nightlife, but more for romantic evening strolls along the beach.

Unlike some of the other resorts on Ibiza that shut down during the winter season, Talamanca is a good destination all year round and it has many facilities, bars and restaurants that stay open even during the low season.

Everything in Talamanca can be reached on foot and its close proximity to both Ibiza Town, the airport, and the inland town of Jesus, makes it one of the most accessible and convenient resorts. Ibiza Town’s port area, only 1.5kms away, can be reached in less than 15 minutes on foot. It is also linked by ferry and there are mooring facilities here if you want to arrive by boat.
