Playa den Bossa
Boasting the longest sand beach on the island at an astounding 2,800 metres, it is no surprise that Playa den Bossa is one of Ibiza’s most popular beach resorts.
Not far from Ibiza Town, Playa den Bossa is located on the stretch of coast between Ibiza Town and Playa des Cavallet. It can easily be reached from Ibiza Town by bus or car and the bay provides stunning views of Ibiza Castle.
The biggest attraction in Playa den Bossa has to be its beach. With a mixed atmosphere, depending on which end of the beach you sit on, it has a great range of facilities, soft white sand and beautifully clear, shallow waters.
There is food and plenty of refreshments on offer all along the beachfront at the more than 50 beach bars that stretch along the bay. Sunshades and sun beds provide the comfort you need to sit back, relax and get the perfect tan.
A fantastic range of water sports, such as waterskiing, pedalos, surfing, boating, and sailing is available. In particular, the beach is popular with windsurfers, who take advantage of perfect windsurfing conditions off the coast on windy days.
The end farthest away from Ibiza Town has a quieter atmosphere if you are looking for a more peaceful spot. However, if you are looking for a livelier setting, then the opposite end of the beach has a choice of bars and music that cater for the younger crowd.
There is also a good range of hotels and restaurants near the beachfront and parking is available.
For nightlife, the mega-club Space is only a short distance away from the beach. This club is renowned for its after-hours parties and the famous Bora Bora bar along the beach provides warm-up and after parties for the club.
