Golf in Ibiza

Although Ibiza is primarily known as the ‘party capital’ of the Balearics with its energetic and cosmopolitan atmosphere, it also attracts visitors who are eager sports enthusiasts, such as golfers.

Ibiza’s main golf course is known as ‘Club de golf Ibiza’ which was only founded in 1992. It is situated only 7km north from the island’s capital and between the areas of of Jesús and Santa Eulalia, which are on the east side of the island. Santa Eulalia del Rio is a beautiful resort town with less crowded beaches and a more relaxed atmosphere than nearby Ibiza town.

The ‘Club de golf Ibiza’ is open all year round and is also only 15km away from Ibiza Airport. In the municipality of Santa Eulalia the ‘Club de golf Ibiza’ encompasses two golf courses with very different characteristics given their proximity to the coast.

The new 18 hole, par 72 course boasts many facilities on offer such as Driving Range, Covered Driving Range, Cart Rental, Buggies, Restaurant, Bar/Café, Pitching Green, Putting Green, Bunker, Shop, Repairs, changing rooms & showers, credit cards accepted, parking as well as a practice area. Additionally, accommodation is also available on site and locally.

The older 9 hole golf course had previously belonged to the ‘Club de Golf de Roca Llisa’ founded over 20 years ago. Both courses offer different challenges in terms of the game and together account for the only club offering 27 hole course in the Balearics.
